This is a Scott fly rod, model C955/4. The Scott Centric is a current model. The longer length makes it an ideal model for single-hand spey casting. It can also cast long distances. While #6 to #8 lines are standard for lake fishing, you can also cast long distances with a #5 line by using the length of the rod.
