I bought this Fenwick, Aetos 4 wt, 8 footer as a back up rod for my Winston Pure Rod in same wt and legth, and the Fenwick Aetos casts just about as well as the Winston for 1/4 the price. Keeping the Winston given the lifetime warranty and selling this hardly used Aetos for a good price to find an angler who will fish it. I fished it two days for combined 5 hours. This 4 wt excels in accurate presentation of dry flies and emerger flies to selective trout. Think spring creek, small to medium streams. Originally purchased new from Dette Flies (authorized Fenway dealer) on May 2, 2025, so you can register for Fenwick’s 5 year warranty (I never registered this rod).
